Gurugram, May 3: Authorities in Gurugram have launched an investigation into a gruesome incident where a man allegedly poisoned his wife and four children before attempting suicide. The suspect remains under medical supervision in critical condition, while his wife and their children, ranging in age from six to twelve, were found dead in their home on Saturday evening.
The grim scene was discovered by a relative who found the five victims unresponsive and the suspect writhing in pain. Police personnel and forensic experts arrived shortly after the alert to find evidence of both poisoning and physical trauma at the residence. Investigators declared that the children appeared to have been administered a toxic substance first, followed by the mother.
“The tragedy came to light on Saturday around 9 pm when Nazim’s brother arrived at the rented apartment to visit the family,” a police official affirmed. He maintained that the suspect was found with self-inflicted wounds and a knife was recovered from the immediate area. Neighbors informed the police that while the family kept to themselves, heated disputes between the couple had become more common recently.
The deceased have been moved to the mortuary for autopsies to confirm the cause of death and the nature of the poison. Law enforcement officials stated that the suspect’s condition is being monitored closely so he can be questioned. They asserted that a thorough search of the premises has been conducted and samples have been sent for forensic analysis to reconstruct the timeline of the fatal dispute.
