SRINAGAR, JUNE 3 — Activist Sonam Wangchuk issued an ultimatum regarding national education management, affirming he will join public demonstrations in Delhi if structural accountability is not established.
The planned June 6 assembly at Jantar Mantar adds significant public backing to an ongoing campaign calling for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down. The movement, initiated by the Cockroach Janta Party under founder Abhijeet Dipke, has gained traction online by focusing on recent disruptions across major testing systems including NEET, CUET, and CBSE.
Wangchuk asserted that administrative accountability must be upheld within a democratic framework when institutional failures directly impact the country’s youth.
“IF NOT US, WHO? IF NOT NOW, WHEN!” Wangchuk declared, confirming his intention to stand with student advocates in the capital if administrative changes fail to materialize.
The activist pointed out that his endorsement extends beyond immediate testing controversies, reflecting structural concerns built over 40 years of working within the domestic learning sector. He argued that the current gap between policy intentions and classroom realities hinders the country’s development goals.
To illustrate these challenges, Wangchuk used documentation of rural students working under severe resource constraints, questioning how national advancement targets can be reached without resolving foundational education issues.
“Accountability is essential when examination-related failures affect millions of students,” Wangchuk maintained, calling on central leadership to address public frustration directly.
Campaign coordinators stated that the peaceful rally will serve as a platform for students and youth organizations to demand immediate structural revisions. Wangchuk confirmed that while he hopes for a administrative response, his travel plans to Delhi remain set to ensure the challenges facing young learners receive proper attention.
