Chandigarh, June 19: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced a series of extensive welfare and rural development initiatives designed to enhance the quality of life across regional communities. During a public interaction program in Chabbewal, the Chief Minister handed over a development grant of ₹51 lakh to the Bihala village panchayat for the construction of a new community hall and an Anganwadi center, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to balanced rural infrastructure growth.

The government highlighted its major universal healthcare initiative, the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, which stands as a premier medical framework providing up to ₹10 lakh in cashless annual treatments per household. Data shows that regional families have already utilized over ₹650 crore in free medical care under the scheme, drastically lowering the financial burdens associated with complex clinical treatments.

Reflecting on the state’s multi-layered social support systems, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the government is focused on providing tangible economic security to ordinary families.

“While we are protecting Punjab’s interests and delivering welfare, opposition leaders are busy spreading misinformation,” the Chief Minister declared.

He noted that the upcoming rollout of the Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna will extend direct monthly financial assistance to women across the state as a mark of structural support.

The Chief Minister noted that traditional political factions remain visibly absent from public spaces due to their history of collaborative corruption and anti-people policies. He maintained that previous administrators prioritized personal family benefits over the state’s economic health, leading to widespread public rejection. He concluded by stating that the current secular administration remains deeply honored to facilitate major cultural and religious celebrations, emphasizing that public welfare, jobs based on pure merit, and transparent resource management will continue to drive the state forward.
