Chitrakoot: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed on-ground recovery efforts in Chitrakoot on Sunday, delivering relief material to 800 families impacted by severe overflowing of the Mandakini River while accusing SP regime for failing to address natural disasters prior to 2017. Speaking at the distribution site following an inspection of Ramghat, the Chief Minister stated that state assistance under the current administration has expanded from minimal provisions to multi-item emergency packages designed to sustain households through rehabilitation.
The Chief Minister detailed emergency measures taken when water levels surged, explaining that multiple SDRF, NDRF, and PAC teams were deployed within hours to execute large-scale rescues. During the program, displaced families received land lease documents and housing guarantees under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, alongside immediate financial assistance to rebuild damaged properties.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized that sustainable flood management requires clearing encroachments along river basins to prevent future water logging and structural damage. He directed health departments to stock essential vaccines, including anti-snake venom and anti-rabies treatments, across local health centers to protect displaced citizens during post-flood conditions.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment to regional restoration, the Chief Minister pledged full state funding to repair damaged roads, power grids, and temple ghats across Chitrakoot Dham. He concluded by assuring farmers and local business owners that detailed damage evaluations will ensure every eligible victim receives prompt financial compensation.
