GAYA: In a major push toward boosting industrial infrastructure in the region, Secretary for the Department of Industries Shri Kundan Kumar reviewed construction progress at the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in Gaya. During the on-site inspection, the Secretary held discussions with key implementation partners and the Project Management Agency to evaluate the current status of physical infrastructure development. Shri Kundan Kumar maintained that maintaining high standards of quality while meeting strict completion deadlines remains paramount as the state works to establish world-class facilities for incoming enterprises.
To prepare the cluster for upcoming industrial demands, the Secretary issued directives to regional administrative authorities to analyze surrounding land availability for potential integration into the cluster’s footprint. Officials were mandated to evaluate environmental considerations, spatial zoning, and future scaling requirements, with an updated report to be submitted within forty-eight hours. Shri Kundan Kumar noted that expanding the capacity of IMC Gaya alongside ongoing civil works will ensure that Bihar remains fully prepared to support large-scale industrial investments, establishing the cluster as a cornerstone of the state’s economic development strategy.
