Chandigarh, Sept 21: In a tragic setback to aviation aspirants from India, two student pilots were killed in an air accident while undertaking routine flight training in Canada. The victims, Manoj Sivakumar hailing from Tamil Nadu and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham from Puducherry, were undergoing advanced instruction when the fatal mishap occurred.
Canadian flight safety authorities have commenced preliminary investigations into the cause of the night training flight crash. Meanwhile, local aviation bodies notified the Indian diplomatic authorities regarding the completion of initial identification protocols at the accident site.
Extending support to the victims’ relatives, the Indian Consulate General in Vancouver affirmed that formal consular measures are being prioritized. Representatives declared that the mission remains in constant coordination with local law enforcement and transport safety officials to streamline clearance procedures.
State authorities in India have also been informed as diplomatic officials work to ensure the seamless dispatch of the mortal remains back to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The consulate assured that all required documentation and logistics will be handled expeditiously to assist the families during the bereavement period.
