SGGSWU Leadership Reaffirms Commitment to Accessible Care and Neurological Rehabilitation Services

Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 7: A dedicated clinical awareness session marking World Cerebral Palsy Day was hosted by the Department of Physiotherapy at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University in Fatehgarh Sahib.

The university initiative brought together medical experts, students, and families to emphasize the critical role of timely intervention and comprehensive therapy.

Organized under the direction of Faculty Dean Dr. Pankajpreet Singh and Department Head Dr. Supreet Bindra, the event featured clinical evaluations alongside structured informative sessions.

Dr. H.S. Raikhi, MD (Pediatrics), served as the primary medical expert for the event. He addressed attendees on clinical management protocols before engaging directly with families during a special consultation clinic, where parents received guidance on home care and professional rehabilitation pathways.

University dignitaries, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Pritpal Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. S.S. Billing, and Registrar Dr. Tejbir Singh, acknowledged the department’s contribution toward fostering compassionate healthcare education.

The university leadership affirmed that similar clinical and community-oriented programs will continue to be supported to aid patient welfare.
