CHANDIGARH, OCT 15: A constitutional challenge has been initiated in the High Court regarding the central government’s refusal to grant travel permissions for a senior administrative delegation traveling overseas. The state petition asserts that the decision interferes with local economic development efforts and trade promotion policies.
Legal representatives appearing for the central authorities informed the bench that internal consultations are underway to present a detailed response regarding the administrative decision. The court scheduled the next session to review the official records and filings submitted by both sides.
State departments clarified that the delegation aimed to represent regional agricultural interests and establish international trade links during a prominent commercial summit in France. Officials maintained that all financial commitments and procedural requirements had been properly arranged prior to the clearance rejection.
