Governing Party Challenges Opposition Over Factional Claims

Ruling administration points to structural confusion within Congress state unit as election cycle approaches

Chandigarh, August 1: The Aam Aadmi Party state unit criticized Congress leadership on Friday, characterizing recent claims regarding ruling party members as an effort to distract from organizational instability within the opposition.

AAP Punjab Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu stated that opposition figures are issuing contradictory claims about legislative numbers to conceal ongoing leadership tussles. He affirmed that the opposition state unit faces severe internal competing ambitions for the top leadership position ahead of upcoming assembly polls.

“A party that failed to notice its own senior leaders leaving for the BJP has no moral authority to speculate about AAP legislators,” Baltej Pannu stated.

Pannu maintained that the opposition party has failed to address its persistent organizational drain, referencing prominent former leaders who previously exited the organization. He asserted that recent publicity material featuring senior opposition leaders omitting traditional party symbols further evidenced deep internal division.

Addressing electoral readiness, Pannu challenged opposition state chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring to focus on resolving candidate selection across constituencies rather than speculating on governing members. He affirmed that the Bhagwant Mann-led government remains dedicated to welfare initiatives and development programs, maintaining strong public support across Punjab.
