Gurugram Cultural Hub Reduced To Scrap By Massive Fire

by TheReportingTimes

GURUGRAM, July 15 — The iconic Kingdom of Dreams complex in Sector 29 has been structurally devastated following a major fire that tore through the abandoned property on Wednesday. The municipal fire department deployed a fleet of specialized emergency vehicles to the location after receiving reports of heavy smoke billowing from the facade. Because the commercial entertainment venue has been non-operational and closed to the public for an extended period, no injuries occurred.

The response teams benefited from their close physical proximity to the entertainment park, allowing them to initiate suppression tactics shortly after the fire ignited. The flames took hold of the highly flammable insulation materials lining the exterior, creating high-visibility smoke columns that drew hundreds of onlookers to the outer safety lines.

Fire Officer Naresh Kumar declared that the rapid initial response helped prevent the fire from spreading toward adjacent commercial facilities in Sector 29. The official stated that the fire station is located close to the site, allowing officials to notice thick smoke soon after the blaze started. He maintained that smoke was rising from the thermocol installed on the front side of the building, following which five to six fire engines were immediately sent to the spot.

The structural impact on the building has been described by emergency personnel as total, leaving the facility permanently ruined. Kumar asserted that the facility had been shut for quite some time and was lying vacant, which is why no casualties were reported. He also noted that a similar fire had broken out at the same property earlier during the night, stating that the structure has now been reduced to scrap.

Safety inspectors are currently conducting a detailed review of the premises to isolate the exact cause of the double ignition. The accident follows closely on the heels of another major fire emergency at a commercial storehouse in the Jhund Sarai locality on Tuesday night, where safety teams similarly managed to control the situation without any casualties being recorded.
