New Delhi, August 5: The Aam Aadmi Party launched a major public campaign demanding immediate policy adjustments to the distribution of E20 blended petrol, citing widespread vehicle damage and decreased fuel efficiency reported by motorists. Party representatives stated that a delegation carrying hundreds of thousands of signed petitions attempted to reach the Prime Minister’s Office to request a dual-dispensing mechanism that would allow citizens to choose between blended and pure petrol.
Party leaders affirmed that despite submitting documented public feedback and highlighting technical concerns regarding rubber component degradation in engines, central authorities have shown reluctance to adjust the current roll-out strategy. Senior leaders declared that the decision to enforce E20 usage primarily serves international trade commitments rather than national interests or local agricultural welfare. They maintained that the party will escalate its nationwide awareness drive to ensure consumer rights and vehicle safety standards are protected.
