Chandigarh: Efforts to dismantle transnational criminal syndicates operating in the region have gained strong momentum through coordinated international deportations and extraditions. Speaking to reporters, media coordinator Baltej Pannu affirmed that law enforcement authorities have successfully pursued fugitives hiding across the United States, Dubai, Malaysia, Moldova, and Canada. He noted that recent operations conducted by the Anti-Gangster Task Force emphasize a policy of zero tolerance toward organized crime, ensuring that suspects face judicial proceedings regardless of their location.
The ruling party representative declared that previous political administrations failed to dismantle criminal networks effectively, occasionally providing lax oversight. In contrast, he stated that the current government has invested in advanced technological infrastructure, enabling police units to track and apprehend high-level targets internationally. Pannu concluded that law enforcement cooperation with foreign authorities continues to improve, establishing a robust framework to secure the state and curb cross-border illegal activities.
