New Delhi, August 1: Following a police complaint and an ongoing multi-jurisdictional investigation, a young girl has released a video statement seeking nationwide forgiveness for uttering abusive remarks against the Prime Minister. The issue reached national attention after Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his perspective in a late-night broadcast, stating that while the derogatory comments directed at his late mother and himself caused him distress, society should focus on mentoring young individuals rather than holding lasting grievances. Meanwhile, law enforcement officials in Delhi are proceeding with a formal review of the Zero FIR filed originally in Noida.
Explaining how the incident transpired, the teenager declared, “I went to Connaught Place with my friends in July. We came across a group of people who were using abusive and objectionable language against the Prime Minister. They influenced me and encouraged me to repeat those words, and I did.” Expressing remorse over the fallout, she added, “I am not able to look anyone in the eye. I appeal to the entire country and everyone to please forgive me. I am only 15 years old. This is my first and last mistake, and I will never repeat such an act again.”
The legal process gained momentum when the Special Cell of the Delhi Police initiated formal proceedings to address the online circulation of the video. Authorities requested the prompt removal of the media from social platform X and secured digital evidence for ongoing examination. Police officials confirmed that further steps will depend on a detailed assessment of the transferred case files from Noida.
