Chandigarh: To accelerate industrial development and sustainable farming, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann held detailed discussions with leadership from the Confederation of Indian Industry in Chandigarh. Chief Minister Mann maintained that the administration remains fully committed to transforming Punjab into a leading business destination by building a conducive environment for investments and creating job opportunities.

During the interaction, Chief Minister Mann highlighted crop residue management as a key area requiring unified action between government agencies, industry partners, and farming communities. He called for focused interventions in paddy-growing areas of the Malwa region to provide accessible and sustainable residue management solutions to farmers. Additionally, Chief Minister Mann asserted that collaboration in horticulture and modern agrarian practices will enhance farm productivity state-wide.

The discussion also covered strategic infrastructure development across industrial focal points and steps to ensure stable power distribution during peak operating periods. Chief Minister Mann urged the industry body to explore dedicated technical centers in Jalandhar and Ludhiana, affirming that aligned skill programs will prepare local youth for emerging industrial sectors and drive economic progress.
