New Delhi, June 11: A late-night security scare gripped the national capital region after a fitness facility linked to Punjabi artist Guru Randhawa was targeted in a targeted shooting. The incident occurred in West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area during the early hours of Thursday, drawing a major police deployment to the scene.
According to law enforcement officials, two unidentified men with covered faces arrived on a motorcycle at around 4:00 AM outside the 24 Hs Fitness centre in Pushkar Enclave. The assailants discharged approximately seven rounds toward the glass exterior of the building before speeding away from the spot. Caretakers discovered the damage when opening the premises at 5:15 AM and immediately registered a PCR call. No injuries were reported, as the facility was empty at the hour of the attack.
A digital message emerged online shortly after the gunfire, with the Anil Pandit faction of the Lawrence Bishnoi group asserting responsibility for the operation. The social media statement explicitly declared that the firing served as a warning, alleging that Guru Randhawa had developed a close association with Bollywood actor Salman Khan despite previous warnings.
Delhi Police representatives stated that multiple specialized units and cyber experts are currently verifying the digital footprint and authenticity of the online post. Security agencies affirmed that all potential motives, including extortion rackets, organized crime syndicates, and personal rivalries, remain under active review.
Guru Randhawa is publicly recognized as a key promoter and partner of the new fitness franchise, which commenced operations in February. The Lawrence Bishnoi network has frequently utilized social media channels from overseas bases to announce operations against individuals connected to Salman Khan.
Specialized forensic teams have since thoroughly processed the location for ballistic evidence. Meanwhile, local intelligence units are collecting and mapping CCTV footage from all surrounding escape routes to establish the identities of the two motorcyclists.
