AMRITSAR, September 2: Amritsar police authorities deployed multiple specialized units on Wednesday morning for an extensive area-dominance drive across key neighbourhoods, including Anngarh and Shekha Bazaar. The operation involved 150 officers directed by senior officials to review public safety measures and inspect vehicular movement.
Senior officers, including DCP Law and Order Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu and ADCP City-I Yogeshwar Singh, led the field teams as they conducted verification checks on suspicious vehicles and reviewed ownership records. Officials detained 11 individuals for further questioning and seized multiple vehicles during the inspection process.
Addressing area residents during the drive, DCP Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu declared that law enforcement will maintain continuous oversight to ensure public order across the city. Authorities maintained that community partnerships play a vital role in local policing, reiterating that administrative channels remain open for confidential information sharing.
