CHANDIGARH, JUNE 19: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann outlined a series of comprehensive infrastructure and welfare initiatives aimed at accelerating the state’s development and curbing youth migration. During a Lok Milni event in Hoshiarpur, the Chief Minister stated that while the state is blessed with rich natural resources and a hardworking population, it historically lacked leadership dedicated to the welfare of the public.

The administration introduced a pioneering project to shift high-tension electricity wires underground across villages to minimize safety hazards for residents and livestock. Additionally, the government highlighted that over 90 percent of households now receive free electricity, and significant investments in water management have successfully restored canal water distribution to agricultural fields.

Reflecting on the government’s vision for the younger generation, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann affirmed his dedication to building sustainable opportunities locally.

“No young person should feel compelled to dream only of Canada, America or other foreign countries. We are creating opportunities here in Punjab. Together, we will build a Rangla Punjab where our youth can realise their aspirations while staying close to their families and roots,” the Chief Minister stated.

He maintained that treating the entire state as his family drives his focus toward upgrading education, healthcare, and employment.

The Chief Minister noted that the administration is simultaneously addressing long-standing public demands for justice and social security. He cited the implementation of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, which offers cashless healthcare treatment up to ₹10 lakh annually per family, alongside financial assistance programs for women under the Mavaan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna. He asserted that while traditional political parties have shrunk in relevance due to past misdeeds, the current government remains focused on executing sensitive, responsive, and long-term development strategies across Punjab.
