Jaito, Oct 3: Tragedy struck near the Jaito railway station in Punjab on Friday evening after a speeding car hit a pedestrian and collided with a commercial setup, leaving one person dead and two others injured.
According to preliminary reports, the deceased, identified as Arshpreet Kaur, was transported to the Civil Hospital where medical staff declared her brought dead upon arrival. The two injured individuals, Bobby and Prince Kumar, were hospitalized and remain under treatment for their injuries. Police personnel confirmed that the vehicle involved in the crash carried a Uttar Pradesh registration plate.
Senior officers maintained that police teams arrived on the spot swiftly to secure the area and seize the automobile. Authorities asserted that all aspects of the event are being thoroughly examined by investigating teams. Legal action will follow the completion of primary statements and evidence gathering, officials stated.
