The launch took place during a ceremony commemorating the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation’s 25th anniversary, where officials gathered to discuss the future of resource management in the state.

The Chief Minister asserted that the Himcast app would simplify the complexities of timber trading by moving transactions to a digital format. He stated that the ability to purchase forest goods online would provide significant convenience to buyers and streamline the corporation’s internal operations. He declared his confidence that the move would foster a more transparent and trustworthy environment for the trade of state-managed resources.

While speaking at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan, the Chief Minister maintained that the state is dedicated to a development model that harmonizes the economy with ecological needs. He affirmed that modern management tools like Himcast are necessary to meet contemporary governance standards. He also mentioned that the state’s commitment to progress extends to border infrastructure, such as the ongoing modern land port construction in Champawat district.

The Chief Minister declared that enhancing international connectivity through projects like the Asian Highway network remains a top priority. He stated that these initiatives, alongside digital platforms, are intended to promote local products and strengthen the regional economy. He affirmed that all such projects are being moved forward with a focus on local public interest and the generation of sustainable livelihoods.
