New Delhi, August 4: Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal called upon Delhi authorities to simplify guidelines for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana and extend monthly financial benefits universally without administrative barriers.
Speaking on welfare initiatives, Kejriwal asserted that genuine social security programs should reach every eligible woman without requiring political endorsements or strict documentation thresholds.
Expressing concern over strict eligibility criteria, Arvind Kejriwal maintained, “With the number of conditions they have imposed, not even 10% of Delhi’s women will be able to avail of the scheme.”
Drawing parallels with governance models in neighboring regions, the AAP leader noted that Punjab’s financial aid framework operates without artificial ceilings or household caps.
Summarizing his demand for equal treatment, Kejriwal affirmed, “If BJP Govt’s intentions were genuine, it would not have imposed so many conditions and would have extended scheme’s benefits to all women,” urging central and state policymakers to adopt transparent guidelines.
