BJP Faced Public Backlash in Toor Banjara, Claims AAP Spokesperson

Government delivered swift justice and support to Gulzar Singh’s family, asserts Dhaliwal

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh: AAP leader Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal criticized senior BJP figures, including state unit leaders, over their attempt to meet the family of deceased resident Gulzar Singh in Sangrur. Dhaliwal maintained that the opposition party’s visit lacked genuine intent and was aimed entirely at deriving political advantage from a tragedy.

The Chief Spokesperson noted that the local community resisted the delegation’s entry, waving black flags to demonstrate their disapproval. He affirmed that Punjab’s voters are perceptive and will consistently reject efforts to politiicize sensitive incidents.

Reiterating the state government’s response, Dhaliwal declared that the Mann administration acted without delay to secure justice for the bereaved family. Alongside prompt criminal proceedings against the accused, the administration extended direct financial relief and employment support to ensure long-term stability for the household.

Dhaliwal concluded by stating that the government will remain focused on public welfare, safety, and administrative reforms, refusing to let opportunistic political drives distract from core state priorities.
