Mann Administration Expands Welfare for Freedom Fighters’ Kin

State Pension Scheme Reaches Rs 11,000 for Eligible Beneficiaries

Chandigarh, April 29: Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat declared that the state government is providing a monthly stipend of Rs 11,000 to freedom fighters and their dependents. The financial support is specifically directed toward the veterans, their widows, and children who are currently unmarried and unemployed, ensuring a social safety net for the families of independence activists.

The Minister stated that the sacrifices made during the struggle for freedom will always be remembered as the foundation of the nation. He affirmed that the current administration is making continuous efforts to modernize the welfare delivery system so that benefits reach the intended recipients without delay. He maintained that honoring the legacy of freedom fighters is not just a duty but a core principle of the state’s governance model.

Minister Bhagat asserted that the Punjab government is actively reviewing the needs of freedom fighters’ families to offer further assistance where required. He declared that the bravery of these individuals continues to guide the state’s efforts toward societal development. He maintained that the commitment to these families is unwavering, with the government focusing on both the economic and social dignity of the survivors and their offspring.
