New Delhi/Chandigarh, June 16: The ongoing state-wide enforcement initiative aimed at eradicating illicit substance networks achieved a notable breakthrough following the arrest of a regional political official alongside several close associates. The operation forms a key part of the comprehensive “Yudh Nashean Virudh” strategy maintained by the Bhagwant Singh Mann administration to secure long-term public safety and health improvements.
Reflecting on the recent arrests, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated that the investigation highlights critical questions about the background operations of political organizations active in the state. He asserted that contemporary tracking metrics indicate the vast majority of contraband arriving in the region originates via logistical channels tracing back to Gujarat. He affirmed that previous joint administrations permitted structured distribution networks to operate widely under official cover, which he declared directly damaged the potential of the younger generation. The AAP leader noted that the rigorous enforcement actions currently deployed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann are effectively restoring public confidence in regional security.
The dismantling of structured supply routes has shifted the dynamics of local distribution, according to statements from AAP National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhanda. He maintained that the comprehensive disruption of conventional supply lines has compelled political operatives to handle illicit materials directly at the grassroots level. He declared that the administrative directive remains absolute, calling for the total neutralization of trafficking networks to safeguard future generations from systemic vulnerability.
Providing a broader logistical perspective on the issue, veteran lawmaker Kuldeep Kumar stated that the supply chains involved frequently rely on international shipments processed through major private infrastructure assets, specifically identifying Adani-managed ports. He asserted that internal workers within specific political organizations subsequently manage the domestic transport and final distribution across different states. He noted that the direct administrative interventions carried out by the current Punjab government have successfully closed down these regional operations, explaining the growing resistance observed from opposing political alliances.
