Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has initiated a high-level police investigation following an act of vandalism targeting a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Barian Kalan village in Hoshiarpur district. Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO stated that the administration will maintain zero tolerance for malicious acts aimed at disturbing public peace and creating social divisions.
Minister ETO asserted that the state government stands fully committed to protecting the dignity of all citizens and upholding respect for great leaders. Reassuring the public, he maintained that directives have been issued to expedite law enforcement action so that those involved are apprehended without delay. He further appealed to all communities across the state to maintain calm and social harmony while the investigation progresses.
