NEW DELHI, AUGUST 3: President Droupadi Murmu hosted Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday to review the ongoing trajectory of India-Uzbekistan strategic relations.
The interaction forms part of the Uzbek Foreign Minister’s four-day official visit to New Delhi, aimed at advancing cooperation in trade, connectivity, and industrial technology.
Welcoming the delegation, President Droupadi Murmu asserted that bilateral relations draw strength from deep historical connections established along ancient Silk Road routes. She maintained that current diplomatic and trade initiatives continue to build on this long-standing foundation of trust.
The meeting highlighted expanding avenues in economic sectors, particularly in critical minerals exploration, pharmaceutical production, agricultural technology, and software development.
Emphasizing people-to-people connections, President Droupadi Murmu stated that educational partnerships and capacity-building programs remain central to the bilateral relationship. She declared that thousands of professionals and students participating in cross-border education and training initiatives continue to strengthen goodwill, adding that ongoing talks during the visit will further deepen trust and mutual cooperation.
