Hyderabad, June 13: A major international narcotics manufacturing racket was intercepted in Hyderabad following a coordinated raid by the Telangana Eagle Force, the Hyderabad Narcotics team, and local police divisions. The enforcement action resulted in the apprehension of two key operatives and the seizure of 750 grams of refined mephedrone valued at Rs 50 lakh. Investigators discovered that the illicit laboratory was set up inside a mango orchard located in the Batasingaram area of Rangareddy district.
Law enforcement identified the arrested suspects as Keesari Matsyagiri and Nimmala Naresh. Police sources disclosed that Matsyagiri, who has a criminal record extending back more than ten years, had established several drug production sites across India by partnering with an international network. For his latest venture, the accused reportedly misled a local watchman into believing the facility was designed to produce commercial facial cosmetics, offering the worker a fixed monthly wage to secure the site.
The chemical processing pipeline involved acquiring raw components valued at Rs 60,000 from a supplier named Prabhakar. Authorities affirmed that the suspects successfully processed around two kilograms of raw mephedrone at the orchard before distilling it into the final premium batch recovered during the raid. Officers also confiscated processing gear, raw chemical compounds, a car, and three mobile devices from the location. Officials asserted that the investigation is broadening as teams work to locate additional network members who managed to evade arrest during the initial crackdown.
